Mt. Rainier – Failed Attempt


I did not summit Mt. Rainier.  It was a great experience getting trained, and I am very glad to have tried, and though I have learned to enjoy the road, smell the flowers along the way, and realize you’re having fun — that it is not getting there that counts, I am still more than a little disappointed in myself for not making the summit.  I learned a lot about myself, my body, and appreciated the support and encouragement of my friends. 

This was not on my life list of things to do (it was for a friend’s 55th birthday wish, but as of this afternoon, climbing Mt Rainier is now on my list.
